Story Board

The first prompt word that came to mind when being informed of the brief was mermaid. This lead me to roughly storyboard a narrative, in which a little girl ,with an interest in mermaids, is on a beach. At the start her admiration for the mythical creature is highlighter by her admiring her mermaid toy. In the midst of her admiration she is shadowed by what is at first a strange figure, that is then shown to be a mermaid, similar to that of her own toy. The mermaid then collapses and leaves the girl in shock seeing she is covered in oil slick. The mermaid is then washed away with the tide leaving the girl in disbelief and now growing concern for the horizon she looks out to, as oil tankers, freights and rigs litter the ocean ahead.
